Reasons to live in Brockworth, Coopers Edge and Perrybrook

Michael Tuck Estate and Letting Agents have been selling houses in Brockworth for 40 years!

Brockworth is a village and parish located on the old Roman road that connects the City of Gloucester with Barnwood, Hucclecote and then Brockworth.  Although officially part of Tewkesbury borough it is on the far eastern fringe of Gloucester and is conveniently located just 5 miles from Gloucester City Centre and 5 miles from Cheltenham Town Centre.

In recent years it has expanded with new residential developments at Coopers Edge on the site of a former Aircraft Factory and also at Perrybrook which is adjacent to the A417 bypass.

Famous for the annual cheese rolling race Brockworth is also birthplace of actor, comedian and writer Simon Pegg.

Brockworth is bisected by Ermin Street which is a Roman Road running West to East and joining Gloucester with Cirencester.  Along Ermin Street irself you will find a huge variety of house types from different eras from 1970s apartment blocks to fine country residences.  Travelling out of Gloucester you will pass through Barnwood, then Hucclecote and into then Gloucester Business Park.

Gloucester Business Park is home to some major employers including Direct Wines, EdF, Ecclesiastical Insurance and Ageas.  But of more interest to house buyers and tenants is Whittle Square, where you will find a Tesco Extra Superstore, David Lloyd Gym with swimming pools and tennis courts, Costa Coffee, Greggs, Subway, Pharmacy, Hairdressing Salon and Domino’s. There is also the Whittle Inn Adjacent to a Premier Inn and the Victoria Inn can be found nearby on the main Road.

The development was build under Planning Policy PPG which prioritises street scenes with parking to the rear of the properties.  As you drive through the main thoroughfare; Lobleys Drive you will notice the distinctive three story townhouses and apartments that face onto it.  As you venture off Lobleys drive you will then notice that each builder has it’s own distinctive style with homes built by the likes of Persimmon, Bovis Homes, David Wilson Homes.  Each are linked by an extensive footpath network with a choice of play parks, sports pitches and a skate park.

Coopers Edge has it’s own primary school and highly rated Deli Edge Cafe.

Hear what our clients have to say...

Michael Tuck Lettings in Quedgeley have managed our rental property for the past 11+ years.

During this time their professionalism has never dropped. In the early days, Ian, Graham and Vikki-Lee were a huge help to a novice landlord. I’m pleased to say they are still there with a helping hand. Claire has always been the nudge I needed for the necessary insurance and safety checks. Having had some difficult times over the past couple of years I would like to say a special thank you to Lianne who has been there to help wherever she could.

We are in the process of selling the property and as expected Miles and Otis are dealing with everything with Tucks usual professionalism.

I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely, friendly office.

I cannot recommend Michael Tuck Estate Agents enough.

They were so professional and so prompt with their communication. In particular we would like to mention Charlie for his regular updates and extremely helpful service in the sale of my mothers house. We were in a particularly long chain, and he went over and above to assist us in the communications between the buyers and sellers in order for our chain to proceed. He even contacted Solicitors and helped progress the exchange.

“We are certain if it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t have sold our house! We cannot thank him and his team enough.”
