We launched our brand new Michael Tuck Estate and Letting Agents office in Tewkesbury just a few months ago, in November 2025. Despite it being a traditionally quiet time of year we were pleasantly surprised how busy we were in the lead up to Christmas.
Ample Parking!

Being the only “out-of-town” Estate and Letting Agent has certainly helped. Our office is located next to the Wheatpieces Community Centre in Walton Cardiff, and is unique in Tewkesbury in that it has ample free parking immediately outside. This makes life so much easier for our customers and also enables our negotiators to be more efficient with appointments, we’re often able to attend viewings on demand!
Hidden Gem!

Tewkesbury Town Centre really is a hidden gem, which is surprisingly overlooked by residents of Gloucester, Cheltenham and Worcester. However, the High Street is thriving with independent businesses and there are very few empty units in contrast to its larger neighbours! It has retained its medieval charm and its compact size means that everything from Tewkesbury Abbey to the Roses Theatre are all within easy walking distance. If you are visiting the town centre is only a 5 minute drive from the motorway junction.
Does Tewkesbury Flood?
Since we opened it seems to have rained continuously. We’re fully aware of the stigma that Tewkesbury has, being at the confluence of the River Severn and River Avon, so we have been keeping a close eye on water levels! The meadows and fields surrounding the town and residential areas have been doing their job magnificently.
Storm Claudia in November did cause the surrounding fields to flood, but as far as we can tell there haven’t been any significant issues in the area since 2007 when 2 months worth of rain fell in just 1 day. So… so far, so good! Certainly the outlying newer housing estates are all on higher ground and with flood defenses in mind.
House Building Everywhere!

It’s clear that Tewkesbury is changing very quickly with new developments on the southern and eastern fringes of the town. Immediately next to our office in Walton Cardiff, Bloor Homes are building 300 New Homes, but most of the action is on the other side of the M5 at Fiddington Fields! We have even written a whole article about Fiddington Fields which will tell you all about the development.
Our Land and New Homes department which is now based in Tewkesbury have been busy advising existing clients such as Barratts, David Wilson, Bromford Homes, Persimmon and Charles Church, and have quickly established themselves as local experts. We have the largest selection of New Homes available in Tewkesbury and strongly recommend anybody looking to purchase new home in the area to give us a call or pop into the office for a cup of coffee.
Ideal for Commuters
We also have offices in Gloucester and clients based in Cheltenham and its been a pleasant surprise how quickly we travel between the three locations. With a choice of the A38 or M5 we can reach our other branches in Quedgeley, Abbeymead and Gloucester within 20 minutes or so. This makes Tewkesbury an ideal place to live from a commuting point of view, and we have noticed that a lot of house buyers and tenants from Gloucester are relocating to the area.
Saying that, there is an abundance of employment in the area which makes Tewkesbury a key commercial location in Gloucestershire, particularly known for hosting engineering, manufacturing and technology companies with many based around the Tewkesbury Business Park. There’s even a Porsche show room which can’t be a bad sign!
